Shannon focuses her practice in the area of Bankruptcy Law. She primarily represents creditors in bankruptcy cases as well as out-of-court workouts, though her experience includes representing debtors in large Chapter 11 reorganizations, and Section 363 purchasers and manufacturers whose sole source suppliers are financially distressed. Shannon also represents creditors in foreclosure and collections cases and advises clients on compliance with FDCPA, ECOA and other consumer protection laws.

- Represents preference defendants and unsecured creditors in pursuing various claims against the debtor, the collateral and/or the guarantors

Prior Legal Experience
Shannon's career began as an Associate with Burr & Forman, LLP in Alabama from 2003 to 2006. She then joined Helms, Mulliss & Wicker, PLLC in Charlotte until 2007 and then practiced with Moore & Van Allen, PLLC prior to joining Poyner Spruill in late 2008.
